If i were an angel, we'd all probably be dead... because I don't see any other way I of all people would become an angel... Anyways, very nice piece. I love the patterns and how they mingle with the lines and figures and stuff.... I bet it's look wicked cool colored, but i'm almost sure i'd prefer it as it is :)

Looks pretty good. I'm not sure why the lines around their foreheads look unfinished but I'm going to chance a guess that you changed the brightness and contrast. Which could result in line strength.
When I first saw this I thought it was quite a fantasy piece very active and playfull.
When I look at the patterns I immediately see escher. And I wonder. Was he part of your inspiration?
Anyways lovely rendering.

although i do love eschers' works the particular artist who inspired this picture is gustav? klimt. I love the way he uses patterns to create a sense of flat space while keeping fleshy figures (mostly women) as the main subject matter. ( and most likely some lines dissapeared in the scan...meh ). thank you for the comment!

damnit did I say escher?
I meant klimt.
So I suppose you answered my original question. lol
your quite welcome.

Nu-metal couldn't possibly be any worse without it leaping directly into your ass and exploding.
:iconjoshdhallett:
If you can, use photoshop to scan images at a higher resolution so you don't lose lines or contrast. Anyways, you did an incredible job emulating Klimt. Your lines seem to flow across the page seemlessly, giving my eyes just enought time to notice a particular detail before they move on. Proportions and pattern have been nailed as well. In one word, I would call this "heavenly." ;)

Very, very beautiful. I immediately thought of Klimt when I saw this. I really love how the figures and the design come together. Nicely done.

Well, that's hot. If you won't be mad, I'll tell you that it makes me think of an opium dream

...not that I've ever had one.
